Hey Y’all! I’ve been in Georgia for 11 days now! How crazy, the time really flies. Living here and learning how to live in this community has been so sweet. This past week we’ve had many teachings, and after every one of them, I am left dumbfounded at how good God is. For everything he’s done in my life, and in others lives. For his promises that I know are good and his words that keep hold of me in the darkest nights. I cannot begin to fathom how much he loves me, that he would plan out a life as good as this one for me.

Something that has been reminding me so much of his steadfast love recently are the stars! I have always loved the stars, and thought they were so cool, how big they were and how far away. One of my favorite things here is looking up to the sky at night, and seeing an endless mass of stars. The longer I gaze at them the more captivated I am. The beauty and significance they hold. The fact that God created each and everyone of them, and gave them a place in the sky. In comparison we seem so insignificant. And still the God of the universe who created these treasures, and endless more, calls us his beloved children.

I have always heard of how much God loves me, but I am quick to forget the weight that those words carry. That he would send his son to die on the cross and bear my sins. I didn’t do anything to earn his love, and yet it was freely given to me. It’s hard to comprehend as humans that love like that exists. It’s nothing like the love we have on earth, which is conditional and ever changing, God’s love is steadfast and endures forever.

What a good God. I’ve included some scripture that I love!! I encourage you to read them, and also go out and look at the dang stars!! I’d love to hear what you think of when you look at em!

Psalms 8:3-4 “When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?”

Psalms 136:9 “The moon and stars to rule over the night, for his steadfast love endures forever.”
