Hey friends. Long time, no update. My bad. Since I last posted a blog, my race came to a finish, and on May 31st I was officially an Alumni Racer. I went home to a new house in Alabama & stayed with my lovely family for a little while. Then I mosied on over to South Carolina to live with my sweet friend marissa. Just couldn’t stay away from her. In my time there me and mar worked on a home church, and connected with some sweet girls in the area. Then home again for me, I got to see my brother & his family for the first time in over half a year! Crazy! Spent the week taking about our childhood & having the hard and good Kingdom conversations about all things human.

My next stop was Gainesville, Georgia! The place where it all started! Reunited with a majority of my squad mates which was just oh so sweet. They are really some of my favorite people walking this earth! Got to be filled & surrounded by truth & worship that week. Got to see the training center come alive holding so many disciples. did some hard reflection on my race & grieved living with the most incredible people. Said some hard goodbyes (again) and waved a farewell to a piece of my heart.

Found myself in Alabama once again, and this time we had visitors! My sweet grandparents came to hang out & do life with my family for a bit. Got to show my tattoos to a very proud grandpa who tried to convince me to get another with him. Then some more friends came! The hometown besties found themselves in little old Montgomery! How cool! Took a quick trip to the beach & got to see yet another Texas pal! Learned to play farkel with a full table of amazing people. Laughed endlessly all night & got to spend quality time with people I love a lot. Said goodbye to the Grandparents :(.

Then went and had the adventure I’d been waiting for since sophomore year. A trip to Atlanta & the cutest market there ever was. Said goodbye yet again at 5 in the morning, and went back to an empty hotel room. Felt all the grief for the place in Texas that i used to call home, and all the people that I love who live there. Then home to Montgomery for only two days. Spent the time getting ready for my next adventure and soaking up the life I had lived for the summer. Said my last goodbyes, and found myself in Gainesville once again. but plot twist, this time I’m staying for awhile.

Now, as I’m writing this, I’ve found myself arrived into the next chapter of my life. Weird to think this started as a conversation with God in a field in Guatemala. Coming to terms with the ways my life has radically changed. My old routines long gone, now I’m paving new realities for my life. I’ve been feeling hyper aware of how much life I’ve lived in such a short time, and how fast time flies. Thank God its always glory to glory, even when I don’t know what the next glory is gonna look like.

p.s. i’m still fundraising for cga if you wanna donate!
